Hello,
I am on iMac 10.6.8
Every time I try to empty my trash, I get the following message: "Operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8003)."
I have read all the answers to the many questions on the forum about this topic, but none have allowed me to solve my problem.
In fact, in response, the moderator (kaneagle) deleted my question and directed me to read the charter? without any further comment?
I read it and followed it, it seems to me?
Is there someone else who can be more understanding of my situation?
Sorry for kaneagle who might enjoy deleting again?
Thank you in advance
gebe

Hello,

On websites discussing this error -8003, many people have managed to resolve it with this free utility: Trash It for Mac OS X.
Download version v7. As mentioned on the webpage, it may crash when launching the application on your Mac running 10.6.8, so download version v5.2.

OK Ritchi, and thank you for your suggestion but I solved my problem by installing CleanMy Mac for €29 which was very effective. To note that I had MacKyper in a version abandoned by the provider that nagged me every day to buy the new version! I even think that it was MacKyper that was crashing my machine because when I uninstalled it (with CleanMyMac) everything started working again!
Aside from that, I'm a bit disappointed with kaneagle the moderator...
This is my second experience with CCM, the first one never received a response, I was wondering?
Fortunately, your intervention gives me hope for the future...
Best regards.

Hello,

Indeed, it is more than recommended not to install MacKeeper on your Mac, and for those who have installed it, it is often difficult to completely uninstall it. Francis, who works on CCM, wrote a great article on the subject, and I encourage you to check it out and save the link just in case:
Adwares, Unwanted Ads on Mac OS X

I don't know why your first article was deleted without any explanation other than a reference to the CCM guidelines. The only advice I can give you is not to hesitate to come back here to seek an answer, a tip, or a trick about Macs.
