Hello everyone,
I recently bought a laptop equipped with Vista 64.
When I want to install the software: Corel Painter Essential 4 (which installs just fine on my desktop PC with Vista 32), there is a message that says: "The requested operation requires elevation." What do they mean by that?? Is it because the software is not compatible with Vista 64?
Does anyone know about this issue?
Thank you very much
Audrey

Hello,
It's a pseudo-security feature of W7. You go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control settings > You choose the lowest level. You restart your computer and it should be fine.
It's up to you to raise the security level again after you've done what you wanted.

For developers: If you encounter this issue when launching the executable at the end of an installation process with Innosetup, add the flag "runascurrentuser" in the [Run] section.

Yes, but where do we find the run section on Windows 7?
