Hello everyone, I have a problem recently with my MacBook Pro, I hope you can help me:
Recently, I have been getting an ERROR CODE -36 message on my Mac when I try to put a file on a USB stick. I’ve already tried three different USB sticks, and the result is the same. The only way that works is copying the folder to my iPod...
Here is the message:
Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "tp_nadine" cannot be read or written.
(Error code -36)
Knowing that my USB sticks are formatted MS DOS fat 32...
What should I do?
Thank you for providing clear answers ^^

Hello,
I don't know if this can help you, but here's what Apple says about this error:
Error type -36 (I/O Errors)
The file is encountering reading or writing difficulties on the hard drive. The file
may have been saved incorrectly on the hard drive or the storage medium may be damaged.
This almost always indicates an error on a storage medium (physical error on the disk). Sometimes (rarely), this error is temporary.
Solutions: try copying the file to another disk. Use disk repair software, such as Disk First Aid, to check the disk. You can try restarting with all extensions disabled. Sometimes, this will allow you to read the data. We recommend restoring the file in question from a copy stored on a different disk. Regular backups can reduce the time spent resolving this error.
This article dates back to 2008... And since I'm showing up after the battle...

Good luck!
