Hello,
Since yesterday my PC has been stuck on "shutting down". I have tried several times to force it off manually (by pressing the power button), but even so, when I turn it back on, it just stays on "shutting down". I cannot access any functionality of my computer (I'm writing to you from my partner's laptop). What can I do? Can someone help me or do I have to take it to a repair shop? Thank you in advance, have a good day and a good week.

Hello CarmelinaOttavia
If it's a laptop, after shutting down, disconnect the cable, remove the battery and wait for 2 minutes, then put everything back together and restart.

Computing is just a tool, like a paintbrush or a pencil.
Avoid those so-called repair free software, they are of no major use. The best companions are Dos and Powershell..-
Hello Beber67470. That's great, it worked!!! Thank you VERY MUCH!! So, do you have any idea why this problem occurred? Do you think it could be a virus or another malfunction? Thank you once again. Have an excellent day!
- Hello again
I think it might be related to a third-party software that the new Windows does not approve of, like antivirus or personal firewall. If not, consider uninstalling tools related to your laptop brand if they are no longer useful.
One important thing is to perform the updates and let them install without opening any other applications during this process.
Best regards
