Hello, so my problem is that I would like to continue using my laptop by connecting it to an external monitor, knowing that my laptop screen is broken (previously cracked and now all black). Thank you for any of your responses.

Another possibility is to connect your TV via HDMI to your laptop (try pressing the fn + f5 keys. If it doesn't work after the first try, press these two keys several times).

EDIT: As a last resort, if the laptop still doesn't switch to the TV screen via HDMI, remove the screen cover and disconnect the panel, then check that your HDMI cable is properly connected. Start your computer and since it doesn't detect any screen other than the HDMI cable you've connected, it will automatically connect to it.

I was able to experience this myself because the FN+F5 or F7 keys didn't work.

Really big thanks to you, I unplugged the PC and then plugged it into an external monitor instead of a TV and it works, thanks ;)
