Broken laptop screen

Hello,

I have the screen of my laptop (a Toshiba Satellite Pro AS 60) that is completely broken...
I would like to change it.
How do I do that, can I do it myself or do I have to go to a specialized store?
Or should I buy a new screen...

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
As a technician myself, I have changed laptop screens before. It's not too difficult but it's not something everyone can do.
First, find a screen of the same brand and for the same laptop, to avoid connection issues.
So the best thing to do is to check out computer shops that keep laptops for spare parts, and hopefully come across the right screen, and then gather your courage with one hand and the screwdriver with the other.

Good luck to you all!

Can I connect my PC monitor (not a laptop) to my laptop for the time being? How? I can't see anything on my screen, I don't know if I will be able to adjust it :s

Hello
I wanted to change the screen of my Acer Aspire One D357 netbook; it's quite easy, but the problem... it turns on and the screen stays gray/black??
I don't know why. I know that when I connect it to a large screen, the PC works.
I ordered my screen from Ordiclef knowing that this new screen is compatible with all Acer series, but I don't know what to do anymore.
Can someone help me? Thanks in advance.
