Hello,
WHO COULD COME TO MY AID? I no longer have access to my VM. I didn’t install it, and I don’t know how to proceed.
Impossible to open the disk “C:\Users\rosemarie\Documents\Virtual Machines\Windows 7\Windows 7-000002.vmdk” or any of the snapshot disks it depends on
Reason: Failed to lock the file

Hello,
The culprit here is the .lck-xxxx file.
This type of issue occurs when the .lck-xxxx file located in the folder where your VM resides has a lock on the vmdk file. This .lck-xxxx file prevents the host from accessing the vmdk.
To resolve this issue, you should delete the .lck-xxxx file
What do you use for virtualization? vCenter, standalone vSphere Client, Workstation?
