Cursor issue on Word doc

Hello everyone,

For some time now, my mouse cursor has been acting up on my Word documents: it’s black when I open the doc but suddenly turns white (and therefore almost invisible) while I’m typing, without me doing anything in particular.

This happens often, but not systematically. Sometimes I manage to make the cursor "reappear" by changing the font, but it eventually turns white again fairly quickly. And the issue occurs no matter where I am on the page.

Does anyone have any idea for a solution???

Many thanks in advance

    Good evening,

    What is your mouse?

    Hello Panth33,
Sorry for the delay, I’m still looking for a solution.
    It’s an ordinary wired mouse.
No misunderstanding, I was indeed talking about the cursor on the screen

      Hello,

Custom cursors are managed by Windows, not by Word, and to my knowledge there is no Windows cursor in Word text, only in menus, settings...

When navigating a Word document, the default cursor is a vertical line that follows the position where you place the insertion point; it might flicker depending on accessibility options and in the advanced options the "smart cursor" (in this case essentially when you go beyond the margins).

As for menus, settings, ... any possible modification is done in Settings - Accessibility - Text cursor and in Settings - Ease of Access - Mouse pointer.
