Hello,

I would like to know more about how PayPal works.

First of all, does PayPal transmit the credit card number to the seller?

Does the seller have the right to ask for the buyer's credit card number?

What personal information is transmitted to the merchant during the purchase (name, first name, phone, address, credit card, ....)

Thank you for your answers because I have already checked the FAQ on PayPal, but I didn't get my answers

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 37.0.2062.120

The answer is no to both questions. That's the whole point of PayPal.

What personal information is transmitted to the merchant during the purchase (name, first name, phone number, address, credit card, ....) The information you provide in your profile: generally name, first name, address, email. Sometimes some add their phone number.

But the seller cannot ask for the card number if there is no issue with the payment that has been made.

They can only view the information that is transmitted to PayPal, such as name, first name, address, etc. that I entered, which you told me, nothing more?

No, they cannot request that information.

When you pay via PayPal, you send the money to PayPal, which makes it available to the seller. So if you do not have the amount, the payment simply will not go through.

It's not a money issue, but I would like to know what the seller can know once the transaction is completed.
