Hello,

I recently received a bill from Google for €384.
I waited and received another bill from Google for €365.
I looked into the matter and apparently it’s a "game" online that my son played, but such an amount for a game surprises me!

If anyone has any information! Best regards

Hello,

Google does not issue such invoices.
To my knowledge, the only invoices that Google provides are for AdWords.

I love all those parents who say, "Oh, my child is way too nice and has never had access to my card."

It's pretty funny all this; as if it’s someone else who entered your card number into a hacked account, now we could talk about theft.

But in your opinion, what is the probability that your hacked/stolen card number ends up in your child's specific account (by the way, we're not even going to talk about the fact that your child has an account).

So there are only two possibilities: either you, at some point, entered your card number, and it was recorded, like on certain sites or platforms = danger with children having access to that same account, or it’s them.

  This comment is not helpful, and could even be frightening.
  
  Managing tablets? Indeed, you weren't told, but it doesn't manage itself; it's like buying a 600 euro camera and only using it in auto mode.
  
  While there are vulnerable people who can be taken advantage of, sometimes foolishly, and for whom I would feel more compassion. But people who give tablets to their children without any control, never. And especially then to come and cry about hacking, which doesn't exist.
  
  I am actually surprised that the banks in question made refunds, especially since these were not fraudulent purchases, but rather desired purchases.
  
  Returning to the issue of managing tablets, there is the same concern with Steam, or Amazon for example.
  
  If the credit card is saved for future payments, it's like leaving the door open to one's bank account.

  In my case, I indeed made a purchase of a game two months ago on Google Play. I did enter my banking information to make the payment, but at no point was I informed that this information would be saved and stored. Yesterday, my 12-year-old son, who plays "Clash of Clans," bought "gems" to enhance his game. Granted, he was in the wrong because he did click on "buy." However, in this game, all "purchases" are usually made with "virtual" money, and among the items, paid "gems" sneak in.
  Quite misleading in my opinion!!!!
  AND ABOVE ALL, how could a child make a purchase just by clicking a "buy" button without a prior verification of the banking information, just because it had been stored???
  I'm not claiming hacking, but rather an abuse of trust!!!!
  Because from a legal standpoint, Google Play is shielded; they have thought of everything to protect themselves from this kind of mishap in case of use by a vulnerable person (child or teenager).
  And even by monitoring and explaining everything to my son, I was not safe from these purchases without my knowledge.

It's a scam ..

Yesterday, I was charged 7 times 89.99 euros ..

Entitled: Google App Supercell*

Apparently, it's a Clash Of Clan game according to the Police agents, and it's THE scam of the moment ..

Transactions were made from my account (France) to Germany and the UK, so the recovery delay for the funds is between 2 and 3 months according to LCL ..

Supercell is the "creator" of the app called "Clash of Clans," and the amount of €89.99 corresponds to the largest purchase possible in this game...

Either it's a hacking of your credit card, or your child wanted to feel powerful...

Hello,
for my part, I have a similar event at home except that, as far as I'm concerned, it involves multiple purchases of 4.99 and 8.99 for a total amount of 76.34 Euros.
I contacted Google who confirmed to me that these are indeed purchases made from Supercell for the game Clash of Clans with my son's Google account, but what I don't understand is how my credit card number ended up linked to his Google account!??? He claims to have nothing to do with it... I want to believe him (with a few small reservations, of course).

In the meantime, and you can do the same, log into Google Wallet with your Google account, go to payment methods, and delete all available payment methods.
You can also prevent purchases on your Android device(s) in the Play Store like this: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/1626831?hl=fr

As for my case with Google, well, still the same: a "canned response" that tells you everything and nothing.
They advise me to turn to my bank. Something I'm going to do.

  you need to go to the Google Wallet site. Sign in with your Gmail address, your password, and then follow the instructions on their site. Personally, that's how I did it. I do have an email address with which I communicated with them several times, but without a ticket number, they won't respond to you!

Hello,
I've also been charged by credit card for 15 x €17.99 and €8.99 over 2 days by Supercell. There has been fraud with the credit card details, as my son cannot have access to it. I am insured against theft and the bank will take the necessary steps to clarify this issue. To be continued...

I have also just been a victim of this kind of scam with multiple charges "GOOGLE *SUPERCE" for €4.99 and €17.99 (about ten charges).

I have no Android products, so this is a case of bank fraud!

Same fight... but I was credited the amounts the next day, so I didn't lose any money... Suspecting unusual activity on my account, Google has blocked my Gmail account... Do you think I'm in the clear, or should I contact my bank and/or Google?

Hello, I know what just happened to you because it happened to me too. Go to your Google Play Store app, then go to your profile bubble in the top right corner and go to Payments and subscriptions, then to Subscriptions. Normally, you should see subscriptions that have been added; all you have to do is cancel the subscription and request a refund. Have a good day.

I had a similar kind of issue on Google Play, 411 euros in bills for games my 7-year-old son was able to purchase without me noticing.
Following a 10 euro purchase, Google kept my credit card number without asking me.
The legislation states that the question must be clearly asked, like "Do you want to save your payment details, yes or no?" They do not do this; just clicking on the terms and conditions is not enough.
I am going to file a complaint on the CNIL website and we'll see what happens ????
They record everything without our consent ... they're just crooks, that's all.
