Unable to modify an unknown proprietary file

Hello everyone,
actually, I'm not going to ask a question, but recount a problem that I eventually solved quite simply.
Wanting to rename a folder on drive D (data), a message informed me that it was impossible because one or more items were shared. I then removed all the shares, but nothing worked; another notification indicated that I didn't have the administrator's permission. So I sent this folder to "C", and there I was able to rename it. Great, so I was going to delete the first folder on data, still impossible! Cut and paste to C, that didn't work!! I still managed to empty this folder of its contents, except for one item, the one that was causing the trouble! This last file remained empty, however (a photo taken by me). It was still impossible to delete this almost empty folder because of this subfolder. Are you still following? So I went into the properties of this file to try to take ownership as indicated in various forums, access rights denied, impossible to change the owner, current owner unknown, what a hassle, system restore to an earlier date... still didn't work. So, I transferred the renamed folder from C to D and there, I could do whatever I wanted! Even the troublesome subfolder regained an owner (my PC name)... I reread all the forums, I didn't try to grant myself the rights of Windows administrators (didn't know how), and I went to bed. Then this morning, with a clear head, I compared the two folders and noticed they didn't display the same! So I changed the view of the pesky little folder at the top right of Windows Explorer (I switched from list to medium icons, for example) and voilà, it's done! The nightmare is over, I was able to permanently delete the first folder from data!!

I hope this can help someone because often the solutions proposed in forums are too complicated...
