Microsoft has extended its security update program for Windows 10 until October 2027, one year longer than the initial date. This gesture is probably due to the vast fleet of PCs still unable to upgrade to Windows 11. For those who still have Windows 10-compatible machines, this means you will continue to receive critical and important security updates for an additional year. What do you think? Is this good news for Microsoft customers?

      Hello as well,

Before we start, when you write, think about using polite language... https://www.commentcamarche.net/infos/25855-charte-d-utilisation-de-commentcamarche-net-respect-d-autrui/#politesse

That’s your view especially if you’ve never used Windows 11. It runs much better than Windows 10. Vista, that was crap in its time. Do not compare it to Windows 11.

        Hello,

The gossip says that Microsoft succeeds at creating an operating system on every other release (Windows 98/Meuh, Windows 2000 or XP/Vista, Windows 7/Windows 8).

The commonly held opinion is that Windows 10 is quite polished and if Microsoft extends the ESU there’s a reason, many users either have computers incompatible with Windows 11 or simply do not want it.

In any case, Windows 11 is essentially only a fresh graphical skin over Windows 10 and not really an independent operating system, and the new gadgets that it features do not allow us to say that it is better or worse than Windows 10, only heavier.

        Hello,

Exactly, and the big novelty of Windows 11 is also the enormous layer of telemetry
