Unable to open a downloaded file

Good evening, I have a big problem, I can't open my downloaded files to install them, "open with" but I have nothing to open, I just formatted it and I don't understand why this problem is occurring, thank you for your responses it's quite urgent because I need an antivirus.

    Hi

    What kind of files? With which extension? .exe? .zip? .rar? something else?

    For an exe, we don’t use open with

    either we double-click it, or right-click Run as administrator

    A zip: right-click === extract all

    For a rar, you need to install 7zip or equivalent

      Well, actually I have no extension because I can't even open a software that I just downloaded; I downloaded Avast and uTorrent, and neither wants to open, whereas normally it's automatic.

      Did you check the option to show file extensions in Windows Explorer?
