Hello,
I'm quite lost, so let me explain: I had Windows 7 64-bit, my BIOS version was A03 and my dedicated video memory on my HD 2500 graphics showed 64 MB of dedicated video memory. Then I switched to Windows 8.1, and it dropped to only 32 MB of dedicated video memory, still with the same BIOS A03. Recently, I updated my BIOS to A05 and now, poof, I have nothing at all.
I don't understand why switching OS resulted in a halving of my dedicated memory, and even worse, why updating my BIOS led to having no dedicated video memory. I'm not really sure if the performance has decreased, if anyone could explain this to me because I am really lost !!

For the BIOS update, that's normal; after the update, the BIOS is usually reset, so you need to reconfigure it. As for the video memory, Windows' estimation is not reliable; it only takes an improperly optimized driver for the current version of Windows to display all sorts of information. The only amount of video memory allocated to the GPU is the one defined in the BIOS ;)
