Hello,
I no longer have the option to display images.
I've reinstalled TB, but nothing works....
My only choice at the moment is to view my emails online..... not what I want obviously.
Any informed help would be useful.
Thanks in advance
Pascale
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 30.0

I have exactly the same problem, for several months now.
My version of Thunderbird is 24.6.0.
My messages are in IMAP with Free, and I no longer have the option to display images included in emails.
This bug, along with other bugs related to the loss of emails in certain folders, is making me consider leaving Thunderbird for Live Mail. I hope it doesn't come to that...
By the way, I tried View -> Show attachments in messages, but it doesn't change anything: images still don't display.

I've got it! I found the solution on another forum: in "Options", "Advanced" tab, "Network & Disk Space", click on "Settings" and check "No Proxy." It works...
I understand: when I installed the Privoxy proxy to avoid seeing a lot of bogus ads on my Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers, I didn’t realize that the installation also changed the settings in Thunderbird.
Conclusion: After installing a proxy (Privoxy or otherwise), make sure to disable the proxy in Thunderbird.
