installing a version of SAGE PAIE on a new PC with Windows Vista, but the application does not start. Is it a compatibility issue or something else? Thank you for any help you can provide.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello,
I have the solution to your problem
You need to right-click on the file and select 'Run as administrator'...
Vista requires the same validation for all software....
If anyone knows the solution for displaying the lists, I would appreciate it!!! I can't see the sections, personnel files, payslips,... everything that matters!
Thank you all

Hello

I want to try the guymo method to install Sage on a partition. What is the minimum size that the partition should be?
Thank you!

Another solution (tested):

Just modify the NTFS security properties on the "SagePaie" folder (right-click -> properties -> Security) located in "Program Files" and grant "Modify" + "Write" to the group named "Users".

Best regards.

Good evening,

For the moment, Sage has not validated the installation of the Line 100 and HR products under Vista.

However, according to some tests at a client site, the management products (Accounting, Sales management...) are functioning. Payroll starts up but there are display issues on the lists (apparently it might be possible to fix this error, but I'm not aware of it yet).

For the installation, if you had Payroll on an old workstation, you copy the PMSSAARI directory to the new PC and install the product on top.

If that doesn't work, please give us the error message.

Thank you very much for your reply, the real problem is that the application doesn't even launch. I click or double-click on the shortcut or the exe file to launch the application itself. There is just the green window that appears and freezes, nothing more. I will try the tip you suggested and get back to you.

It is enough to install it on a partition that does not contain the operating system; it works very well.

To everyone,
Sage Payroll is not compatible with Windows Vista at the moment. I worked around the issue after several manipulations and attempts by installing the application on another partition of the hard drive that does not contain Windows Vista files.
For example, if Windows Vista is installed on C, you need to install PAYROLL on D or E or M, etc., another partition of the hard drive.
Hoping that my experience will help you, as it was tough to get it to work.
