Is the printer turned on and is the printer/PC cable properly connected at both ends?

I was on Wi-Fi, everything was fine, I plugged in the cable and it didn't work either. I uninstalled everything and now it works again on Wi-Fi -_-

I am stuck with my 2 printers, Canon and Dell, which no longer communicate even though the cables are connected. It seems that resetting the network settings can unlock certain situations (I just unlocked the Dell, I'm providing the procedure logic regardless of the brand for all intents and purposes):
    Step 1
    1. Press the [Setup] button on the printer.

    Step 2
    1. Use the arrows to select [Device Settings] and confirm

    Step 3
    1. Use the arrows to select [Network Settings], then press the [OK] button.

    Step 4
    1. Use the arrows to select [Reset Network Settings] and press the [OK] button.

    Step 5
Turn off the printer to reboot.

With a bit of luck, the wireless network settings will have been reset to default values.
