Hello everyone,
A mobile phone operator just offered me the installation of a relay antenna on my roof in exchange for a monthly payment! However, health is priceless and since there are controversies regarding the harmful effects of these antennas on health, I would like you to share your experiences (personal if possible) and opinions. Especially since I've been told that the waves generated by these antennas are distributed horizontally, never vertically, which means that being under the antenna, I wouldn't have a direct risk! If there is an expert among you on this matter, please enlighten me as soon as possible because I need to respond to them in three days. Thanks to everyone.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Hi

Propagation of waves:
True, waves are polarized by the arrangement of their antenna.

But one must not confuse "polarization" and "dispersion." GSM operates with horizontal polarization.
After a few dozen meters, these waves are received everywhere, following a pattern resembling a horizontal cone with the tip being the antenna (unless it’s an omnidirectional antenna, which is rarely used in GSM).

To avoid "generating" problems for those directly under the antenna, a metal plate (grid) is placed that prevents the waves from passing (Faraday cage) and helps increase the antenna's gain.

Now, as you pointed out, the debate remains open regarding the potential danger of these waves, depending on their power level, the situation and gain of the antenna, and the frequency used.

I think that whether it is installed on your roof or your neighbor's, it makes no difference, except that he will have earned a fee that will help him a bit.
