Good evening,
I use uTorrent with XP Pack 2 and internet with the Neuf Box 4. I can no longer download 20 KB. I would like to know if I need to configure the web interface of the box, and if so, how, or if there is something else I need to do...... Thank you, take careConfiguration: Windows XP

Hi, I just managed to get the green icon for incoming connections back, it's super simple because the port changed! You need to:
1- right-click on the yellow triangle icon and enable the scheduler and DHT
2- right-click again (multiple times if it doesn't work) and the setup assistant will open, find in 2 the current port
3- open your box's interface (mine is Neuf, so: right-click on the Neuf icon, status of your connection/open interface/advanced/LAN servers
4- Access to router configuration from remote network: no, public port = 0
5- Access to router configuration from remote network: add or modify/Internet access configuration to a server installed on the local network/Server name: other/Access enabled: yes/Protocol: TCP/From port: the number from the assistant/to port: the same and finally apply, no need to save changes: choose later and repeat the same thing with the UDP protocol
6- close the interface, restart uTorrent and there you go, the icon is green!

It depends if your box is in router mode. I know that for mine I had to open the port for BitComet, normally you can choose the port to open in uTorrent settings. Otherwise, you can leave it by default and open the same port in your interface.

Without opening this port, I was getting downloads at 20kb/sec, not even, after that I averaged 100~200 kb/sec.

Hi, sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

Here’s a link that might help, you select your Neufbox and follow the instructions adapting for uTorrent. This is for eMule but it's pretty much the same principle.

The best thing is to set a static IP locally and not DHCP.
Then fill in the fields with the port you set in uTorrent.
I don’t know if it uses the UDP or TCP protocol so you can open the port on both protocols.

Also, if you have another firewall, you need to allow incoming and outgoing connections for uTorrent.
If you’re just using the Windows firewall, ticking the permission in the uTorrent options is enough.

There you go, if it doesn’t work or if there are still things you don’t understand... repost.

Hello, so what's your ISP, Neuf, Free, Orange...? Are you on high-speed ADSL, do you have a modem? If so, you should have an icon of your ISP on your desktop; you need to find the interface to configure it (I don't know, check it out?) and then follow my instructions. Once again: right-click or left-click twice... (multiple times if it doesn't work) and then the configuration wizard opens, identify the current port in 2, a number like 32459... that's the one you need to enter in the LAN services of your interface. There you go, I can't do more for you, good luck!

Hi, I think my ISP is Aliant but I'm not sure. I went on a forum and got an IP, then I put it on a WHOIS and it gave me a lot of info but I don't know what my ISP is; it wasn't listed like that but I really believe my provider is Aliant. So you must definitely have an interface to open where you can find the ports to open. I provided the one for Neuf, Orange is pretty much the same, but for Siemens I don't know which operator it is. I recommend you do a search on the web or Google to find the tutorial. Don’t despair and good luck!

Hello!! I have a big problem with uTorrent configuration. I admit that I'm lost, I don't know what to do anymore. I've tried several times to find the necessary ports, I've entered them in my Inventel Livebox for both TCP and UDP and nothing works, uTorrent isn't moving, nothing is functioning. I also configured the Windows firewall to allow uTorrent to work, I've created new ports but still nothing, I'm at a dead end... Hi, in the setup assistant there is the port number to use, is that the one you entered in the Inventel interface? Otherwise, I have listed what needed to be done earlier... Do you have another firewall than Windows XP? Or reinstall uTorrent... Sometimes it messes up for me too, in that case I reboot my 9box, redo the settings and it works again...

Hi, well I think I've already answered the question, I don't know the Freebox but for 9 and Orange it's the same, you need to correctly identify the port and enter it in the interface (see no. 6) otherwise check the firewalls and allow uTorrent, the "triangle" should then turn into a green circle with a small white sign inside.

It is disabled but activated on the homepage? Did you go into the right program to disable your firewall because normally it should also be disabled on the homepage? You go (but it varies from one system to another!) to properties/control panel and security, you should have a red skull representing a wall with red bricks, you can put it on your desktop (send to) as a shortcut, it's easier for next time. In the exceptions menu, you enter utorrent and the port number.

You all are getting confused lol!!
So for me it’s simple, I went into the settings of uTorrent, checked the port used (so far so good?)... then I went into the settings of my router, opened the same port in UDP/TCP and there you go, it’s all set. I have a nice green circle lol!!!

Hello,

To properly configure uTorrent, you need to go to your livebox settings by typing

Then click on "advanced configuration" and select UPnP Protocol. In the routing table, uTorrent will appear with an assigned port. Please note this port and return to uTorrent. At the bottom of uTorrent's main page, you have your download ratios and, importantly, right next to it, an icon that should be red. When you double-click it, a window appears. This is uTorrent's speed guide, also accessible by clicking on Option --> Speed guide (in uTorrent). In section 2, please enter the port provided by your Box. To check that it works, click on "test if port is forwarded correctly." An IE window opens and should normally display:

OK! Port XXX is open and accepting connections.

You will be able to receive incoming BitTorrent connections

To ensure everything works, I set the Livebox security to "LOW." My firewall is Avast (with Windows firewall disabled), and the one integrated in the Box is configured.

The icon at the bottom of uTorrent then turns GREEN, indicating that you can receive a maximum number of connections.

Hi, I see you have Numéricable. I have a very recent modem and I can't get rid of this damn red triangle. It doesn't turn green, which means there's a problem. Of course, I'm downloading at the speed of a snail even though I have a 100Mb connection, pretty frustrating, isn’t it? I have a port issue that doesn’t get resolved by choosing a random port... Voilà, j'ai réussi à configurer les ports pour eMule, mais pour uTorrent, je ne sais pas quel chiffre il faut insérer dans les ports UDP et TCP, car quand je mets le même chiffre, la page de Neuf ne veut pas me valider, elle dit que j'ai inséré le même port juste au-dessus.
