Remove characters after defined character

I am desperately looking for a formula or VB code that allows me to remove the characters from a cell after the first defined character encountered, in this case ","

Example of desired conversion:

"Darcheux,Roger,Mme et M." = "Darcheux"

=LEFT(A5;SEARCH(",";A5)-1)
