Blurry fonts in Windows 10 Solved

Hello,

The issue I am going to describe has happened to me often on Windows 8/8.1, especially during reinstallation.
It is a display problem that causes the fonts of programs to become blurry.
In previous versions of Windows, we could fix this issue by going to the Control Panel, then Display, Screen Resolution, and making the text and other items smaller or larger.
All you had to do was click on let me choose a scaling level for all my displays, and the problem was solved.
However, with Windows 10, the Control Panel has changed, and I can no longer find this option at all. Do you have any idea how we could find it again?
I would like to specify that my resolution is 1920*1080.

I found it!

Let's choose an application at random: Google Chrome (which appeared blurry to me).

You need to right-click on the .exe file in question (or its shortcut)

> Properties
> Compatibility
Check <"Disable display scaling on high DPI settings">
> Then restart (or simply log off)

Go to the start menu,
> Settings
> System

Then, in the first tab "Display"
You'll find a way to set the font back to 100% using the bar under "Change the size of text..."

> Restart your PC and let us know if it's good ;)

I tried this option, and indeed it works but everything becomes very small, especially on a resolution of 1920*1080, it really becomes tiny... But it's true that it's a first working lead. Thank you

I hope Microsoft will bring back the option I described above as it didn't reduce the font size.

Hello,

I have the same problem. I found the link "make the text (...) smaller or larger", but after that I'm stuck.
It is located in Control Panel/Appearance and Personalization/Display.
I indeed do not see "let me choose a scaling level for all my displays".
Do you have any updates?
I contacted Microsoft and they replied that it is a compatibility issue with older software (like Money, for example).

You need to:
1/ create a file:
“DPI_Fix.cmd”
2/ put the following inside:

REG ADD "HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop" /v DpiScalingVer /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00001018 /f
REG ADD "HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop" /v Win8DpiScaling /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001 /f
REG ADD "HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop" /v LogPixels /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000078 /f

3/ Go to the task scheduler, and set this cmd file to run at every logon.

I FINALLY solved the problem :D I just had to change the VGA/HDMI cable :o It's really simple, but I didn't understand at the moment how I resolved this issue. Anyway, good luck and feel free to leave a comment if it worked :)
