No ringtone for incoming calls on skype

But I must not have explained it well, here it is: when my son usually calls me, at the same time a window opens on my laptop with a call from... answer, there is also a ringtone, and now there is no more ringtone, so if by chance I happen to be in front of my PC at that moment, I answer the call, otherwise, like yesterday, I "missed" 4 calls.
However, when we converse there are no sound problems, just like when I do the echo test. So??? Sorry but my problem is not resolved.

Hello, as Jeannets said, go to tools... options... ringtone... listen to the sound where it says disable. Doing an echo test does not test the ringtone.

If you have headphones, it is the headphones that sound and you may not necessarily hear.

Otherwise, you need to go to the control panel ---> Sound and check your settings... There are also the Options in Skype ---> Audio.

In the Skype options ---> Sound... > you have a table that shows:

1° 'Choose when you play a sound' ... Ringtone must be checked

2° "Choose the sound to play" .......... Skype Ringtone (modern)

3° the button "Disable all sounds" must be displayed with this text

4° Click on the green triangle "Listen to this sound" ... it should play through your speakers.

5° Save.

If it doesn't work, it's not Skype's fault... You need to look for other applications on your PC that might be taking control of the sound output on the speakers.

I already explained to you in No. 4 how to test the ringtone sound.

All sounds are muted if you have the Activate button...

I told you in No. 3 that the "Mute all sounds" button must be displayed with this text
