Hello,
Every time I try to open a PDF document in an email, I receive an error message saying that Free Download Manager is not properly installed and that I need to reinstall it (message in English!). However, I don't remember installing this software.
Could it have been loaded automatically in a Microsoft security update?
Additionally, I tried to uninstall it (but it doesn't appear in my list in the add or remove programs panel; I found it under Explorer, but when I clicked a bit randomly, I admit, the computer refuses to uninstall it, telling me that it is in use. I checked the Task Manager and indeed this software opens on startup (in the processes FDM.ex), so I regularly end the FDM process. Could someone tell me if it is problematic to uninstall this software (could it have an impact on Acrobat or anything else?), and if not, how can I uninstall it?
Thank you for your advice. Brigitte
