Hello,

My husband has taken over a restaurant and I would like to create a website to help him get known.
There are "turnkey" software options but how do I choose the right one and where can I buy it?

I would like to make this site lively and scalable in order to insert new menus, dance nights with photos, etc. each time...

Do you have any addresses or examples related to catering?

In addition to creating a website (or if you prefer to forgo this), it is possible to promote your restaurant online by referencing it in directories or tourist guides.
Furthermore, if the restaurant has a website, this will impact its visibility on the web and can help it get known.

I advise you to download website creation software. I created a site for my brother's company. I used izispot. It is free in French and easy to understand. Just search on Google for website creation for beginners. You'll have plenty of choices. Izispot also offers hosting, but I preferred to find my own host. Because izispot is in Europe and I'm in Quebec. I wasn't sure how much it would cost in CAD, so...

CMS like Joomla are certainly not recommended for novices.

A simple CMS without a database and without pretension is GUPPY CMS; otherwise, you have inexpensive software like:

WebCreator
WebPlus 11 (from Microapplication)
Website-X which are affordable and a good alternative, but be careful, the lack of web knowledge may lead to desiring certain functionalities for your site that can require a certain level of skill.

Avoid Joomla; it is too complicated for novices and may suit someone who is a little interested in the web, but otherwise, you will waste your time.

Hi! I can't help you with the website, but my godson is a restaurateur and I created a profile for him on Restovisio... It seemed easier and honestly, I'm not disappointed, quite the opposite. They put your restaurant's video online and you have a profile + description. While waiting to have a website (or even once you have one), it's a good investment for your restaurant.

I also searched a lot, but WordPress or Joomla is really not easy to use.... I created my site for free with http://www.wysifood.com! They offer a tool for restaurants and it's TOP!! I highly recommend it ++
