cigarette lighter connection

Hello,

I'm sorry if this topic has already been discussed. I bought a Polo 3 this week and it didn't have a radio. The wires were hanging everywhere, so I bought an adapter and everything I needed. I made all the connections as they should be, I double-checked, and nothing...

I went to Feu Vert who later told me that it was connected to the hazard lights and the cigarette lighter, and that to get everything sorted out it would cost me €200 :0

I changed the fuses and still nothing. I'm desperate.

I'm going to Paris on Monday, I have 7 hours of driving ahead of me. It's impossible without music, what a horror.

If you could help me find a solution, I would be the happiest :)

Ah, I made a mistake. The after contact is not the yellow/red wire; it needs to be connected to the yellow wire.

Have you checked the fuse on the car radio by chance? And have you looked at the fuse in the cabin?

Otherwise, you need to test with a multimeter to see if there is voltage on the cables

Or, you can run an electrical cable with a blue wire and a brown wire like the cords of all the devices such as { hair dryer, toaster, radio, etc. } You can buy one at a hardware store, then you run the cable up to the car radio.

On the car radio side, you connect the red wire and the yellow wire together and take a connector to connect the red wire with the blue wire and the black wire with the brown wire, and then connect the blue wire to the {+} terminal and the brown wire to the {-} terminal of the battery, and for the white wires, which are speaker wires, you connect them to the wires that kevin14789 has identified in one of the photos, the same goes for the gray wires, and then you connect the ISO plug to the car radio. You will have to cut the wires of the ISO plug, but if you want to go with Kevin14789's solution, you can, you are under no obligation.

This is a solution, it's what I did in my car, and it works very well, no battery issues.
