Is 12 GB enough for GTA 5 on PS3?

Hello, I would like to buy a PS3 Slim 12 GB and a game for my son's birthday, but is 12 GB enough for GTA 5, and can you use a USB drive as additional storage? Thank you.

Yes, the PS3 12 GB with GTA V runs; you will have about 2 GB left, that's what I have, and with the HDMI cable, the image looks much better.
Then, no, a USB key cannot be used to store game installations but only to put images, movies, music, themes.
If you want to add storage to your PS3, on the right side, you can unclip it and put in a 5400 RPM SATA hard drive and a bracket to hold the drive, there are tutorials online.

Yes, I would be forced to because in reality there are only 9 GB available due to the system, and GTA 5 takes 8.2 GB, leaving 800 MB, not enough to play FIFA 14! If you know a site where we can find cheap 500 GB hard drives, thank you.

If you have a 12GB PS3 slim, you should already be aware that you won't be able to stay like this because it's not enough to accommodate several games. GTA 5 will only work if the PS3 is clean and has no games played or installed. When you start the game, it will ask you to install it and then install a update. Do not do this if you want to play; just ignore it and you will be able to play peacefully. However, note that you won't be able to play online without having done the update, but since it is too large in GB, you won't be able to install it. So if you purchased a 12GB PS3, buy an internal hard drive that you will insert yourself on the right side of the PlayStation by opening the small compartment.

For GTA 5, I'm downloading the update and when I launch the game it tells me to free up 1400 MB.

Hello everyone, so I bought GTA V for PS3 at Christmas and when I downloaded the game there was no problem with the story mode. The issue is that when you have a 12 GB PS3, you can only download the story mode of GTA V and not the online mode, which isn't enough, so you need to have a 500 GB PS3....

It's sufficient; however, he won't be able to play many other games, so I recommend buying a 320 GB PS3 instead to be safe on that front.
