Epson XP 212 Wi-Fi Connection

Hello,

I've been trying for hours to connect my printer to my PC (Windows 8) via Wi-Fi. Since I don't have a CD drive, I downloaded the installation driver and was able to connect the printer via USB, but now I'm stuck because the PC doesn't recognize the printer, making it impossible to use it over Wi-Fi.
I have a Freebox, I've already checked the router settings and other advice I've come across on forums... but everything seems normal, I don't understand anything anymore and I'm starting to lose my patience...

Does anyone have any idea, please???

Hello everyone,

Many people mistakenly think that the printer connects to the computer via WIFI...

In reality, the printer is connected to the BOX (freeBOX, liveBOX, dartyBOX, <anyBOX>) and it's the BOX that manages everything....

In your setup, the box is the central point. In documentation, the box is often referred to as a ""access point"," which says it all...

It's the one that assigns addresses on the networks it manages (WIFI, ETHERNET, Internet...). It acts as a DHCP server (among other things).

There is a WPS (WIFI Protected SETUP) pairing button on your device. It's the button labeled "WIFI."

If the box you have is WPS compatible, the WIFI pairing is super easy. You press the WIFI button on the printer and then press the WPS pairing button on the freebox (or you initiate the corresponding command in its interface).

Once connected to the box, the printer will be shared on the network. Then you just have to install it on each of the computers on your network.

And there you go! It's your turn to play.

Don't forget the "SUPPORT" section of the official EPSON FRANCE website. You will find drivers and documentation there. In particular, the following documentation should interest you greatly: https://support.epson-europe.com/onlineguides/fr/xp20x_xp30x_xp40x_nwg/html/index.htm

Best regards to all, users of cartridges and printers of all kinds and brands. And especially to those who follow my contributions...
