I successfully set up my printer quite easily; it's connected via USB to my main Windows 7 PC. Then I went to my router through its Http address (in my case 192.168.1.1), went to the Wi-Fi settings, then to security, and there in Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), I selected the pairing method via the WPS button. I pressed the Wi-Fi button on the printer for a few seconds, the light turned green, and the router then indicated successful pairing. Once that was done, I was able to add the printer directly from my laptop running Ubuntu, and everything was installed automatically.

On my router, the pairing function via the WPS button was enabled by default, so it's likely that you just need to press the Wi-Fi button, wait for the light to turn green, and then install the drivers on the remote Windows PC.
