Hello,
I've had this problem for a while now (I specify this because if it were recent, I would have restored it), and I've already lost plenty of documents. When I finish typing a text and want to save it (usually under 97-2003), when I close the document and it asks me if I want to save changes and I click yes, I increasingly get this message: unable to complete the save, file access permission error and WRL 0000 and other numbers.
I am working with Word 2007, I still have plenty of space on my C drive, and even after cleaning the system, nothing changes.
I've searched a lot online and found no answer.
I can't even follow the method that Word provides, with recovering files in the Office pane because I have nothing of that name in the Office button!
Can someone help me? If I uninstall Office and reinstall it, do you think it would be effective?
Thank you for helping me because I'm stuck here.
In the meantime, I rebooted my computer to factory settings, but the problem, which was already present before, has not been resolved.
Thanks again.

Hello,
I don't think it's a Word problem, but rather an access rights issue with the folder that receives the temporary files. Indeed, Word creates a temporary file while working on the document, and when you want to save, this temporary file is replaced by a new one. And that's where it gets stuck. What the message "file access permission error and WRL" means is that you indeed do not have access to this temporary folder. The file names that start with ~WR are for Word's temporary files.
Even if it may seem strange, it is very possible that it is a problem related to IE. First, try simply moving the temporary folder. To do this, go to IE, display the Internet options, and click on the General tab.
In the browsing history, click on Settings, then on Move folder. Choose a folder where you are sure you have rights.
Then test your Word.
I would like to clarify that even though it is called Browsing History, this is where you will find all your Word temporary files, in a Content Word folder.
Otherwise, I think it needs to be fixed in the registry.
You can also try with another account... I think your profile has an issue.
