Logicom landline phone sound problem

Hello, so here it is, my Logicom landline phone has been giving me a sound issue for 2 days now: when I receive a call and answer it, the other person can hear me, but I can't hear anything from them.
Similarly, when I make a call, even though it rings on the other person's end, I don't hear any "beep" and I also can't hear if they answer or if they speak.

If someone could help with this issue, that would be really helpful... I really need help with this.

    Hello,

    Your product may be faulty from the factory.
    I'm thinking about the cable (if there is one)?
    Because I had the same problem.

    Thank you for the response, but there is no cable aside from the one connected to the base. I've had this phone for a while, so if it was factory defective, I think this problem would have occurred early in its use.

    Any other ideas?
