Hello!
While I was writing in Word, suddenly the application stopped responding.
However, I had never saved my work (which I started a few hours ago).
I managed to recover a file named ~WRA0000.asd, and when I open it with Notepad, I can glimpse a few snippets of text that match the work I am trying to recover.
How do I open and read this .asd file?
Just to clarify, I haven't closed the file that is no longer responding; I'm using Word 2010 and I'm on Windows 7.
Thank you in advance!

Hello
ASD (Auto Save Documents) files can usually be opened directly with Word.
It's important to know that with Word 2010, documents are saved by default every 10 minutes, and if you close it without saving, you can find them.
To find them: File => Recent
At the bottom right of the window => Recover Unsaved Files
This opens the folder that retrieves these files, which have the ASD extension.

If you want to be helped effectively, make sure you're on the right forum,... and specify the software used as well as its version. We're not fortune tellers!

You saved me, thank you very much
I was able to combine 2 techniques:
Indeed, when opening the "Unsaved" folder (which can be accessed by clicking on "recover unsaved files"), my file was not there...
However, I had already found it in the Temp folder on the computer!
It was a .asd file, and when I tried to open it directly as .asd or change the extension to .doc, Word told me it couldn't open that file... frustrating
So, I ended up copying the .asd file into the "Unsaved" folder, and I opened it via the Word dialog box "recover unsaved files," and it worked!
Who would have thought!
Anyway, the important thing is that nothing is lost!
Oh thanks, I also moved the .asd to the unsaved folder because the other method didn't work..
