Bookmark Issue

Solved

Hello,

I’ve been having a problem with my bookmarks for the past few days.
The bookmarks I've saved are no longer showing up in my Bookmarks Toolbar, but they are being saved nonetheless.
When I go to Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Toolbar, all my new bookmarks are present.
Additionally, I noticed this problem occurred after I saved a certain page that I can't seem to remove from my bookmarks (after several unsuccessful attempts) now.

Attached is a photo of the problematic bookmark in my bookmarks menu (which, by the way, has no address).

If a kind soul could help me get my new bookmarks to show again and delete this problematic bookmark, it would be really nice.

Have a good evening.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 20.0

Hello,

Have you tried deleting it like this:

Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Bookmarks Toolbar

Select the bookmark, right-click and choose delete

or select the bookmark and press the DELETE key on your keyboard (located below the INSERT key)

or click on the bookmark in question to open it, then in the address bar click on the star, in the dialog box that opens, click on "Delete Bookmark".

Hey!

Yes, I tried and it doesn't work.
And I can't even open the page in question.

When did you add this bookmark?

ok, so I hope you'll remember the links you saved along with the faulty one.

do this:

Use the key combination Windows + R

copy/paste this line:

%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

Confirm by clicking OK

Open your profile (e.g. xxxxxxxx.default) to view it with Windows Explorer.

Locate the bookmarkbackups folder and open it.

Delete the .JSON file from Monday, April 29, 2013 and all those from May as well

Close the windows and restart Firefox.

It didn't change anything.
All the bookmarks remained, even those marked today.

I edited my previous message, you must not have seen it, to ask you to also delete the .JSON files from May :)

No, I had seen it well and that's what I did, but it didn't change anything at all, which is really weird. :/
I even deleted the one from April 28 just to be sure.

Show all bookmarks

And tell me what date you see in the .JSON files

It works, problem solved!
The problematic bookmark has disappeared and I just tested it; if I bookmark a page in my bookmarks bar, it shows up immediately!

Thank you very much!! ^^
