In the Start menu, choose Computer.
In the Organize menu, select Folder and Search Options.

Click on the View tab.
In the "Advanced settings" section, under Hidden files and folders, ensure that the option "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" is selected.

Click OK.
Navigate to the following location or enter it in the address bar by simply copying and pasting, or browse the following folder structure:
C:\ProgramData\Apple Computer\iTunes

Right-click on the SC Info folder and click Delete from the context menu.

Restart the computer.
Open iTunes and select Store > Check for Available Updates.
Once your movie has finished downloading, select Store > Authorize.
Enter your account name and password, then click the Authorize button.

The solution proposed by Erka is perfectly valid and works as long as iTunes is used with only one user account.
If your PC has multiple user accounts, then error 42110 reappears when iTunes is opened by a different account than the one with which you deleted SC Info...

In "Computer" on Windows 8, there is no "Organize" option. What to do?
