It looks like someone else is using your account. Solved/Closed

Question

Hello, apparently Microsoft has radically updated Hotmail, and upon my first visit to Hotmail since this update, the message "It seems that someone else is using your account" appears, and I seriously doubt that anyone has accessed it (my password is very complex, a combination of numbers and letters, and I have Bitdefender on my computer).
Is this a general issue due to a problem with the update, or is it just me?

Hello,
Yes, I have the same problem, "It seems that someone else is using your account," so they offer to send a code to one of my addresses that hasn't existed for 5 years. I can't retrieve the code, so I'm answering their stupid questionnaire, which I can't complete due to lack of information. Anyway, I have no access to this address at all, it's serious, isn't it? Why is Hotmail doing this? They're shooting themselves in the foot, those idiots.
So I’m going to have to abandon this address along with all the important contacts and messages I had.

I also tried your forms but I couldn't provide enough information! :'(
I really need my account, I don't know what to do, I need help, I wanted to get back on it, I mistyped my password and they blocked my account because I tried too much! Then they told me:
It seems that someone else is using your account.
So I filled out the form and sent it, the response came in 20 seconds, not enough fields filled out, so I tried again and they told me to protect your account we have blocked it!
Thanks Microsoft, your update has messed everything up for me.

Bad news, I still haven't managed to recover my account. I've filled out the form several times and NOTHING!! Never enough info!
Thanks Microsoft, as they say, "I've had enough," honestly, I've really had enough, they don't
realize it!
The worst part is that I've never typed the wrong password or anything. I think what might have blocked my account is that:
- my account is saved on my computer (without the password)
- it has been connected on my iPad (without being saved)
- it has been connected on my iPhone 3GS (saved there)
- since the 3GS gave out, I got a new phone (iPhone 5) on which I tried to save my account like on the old one and that's when the message appeared on my phone :@
But I don’t see why???
If anyone has a solution, really HELP!!!!

It has happened to me twice in a few months while in 10 years it never happened. The first time I had to answer all the questions asked, the second time I just received the security code at my other address.

But still, it feels strange, I also doubt that the address has been hacked. I wonder if it's not hotmail that's buggy. Does anyone have any idea about the reasons for these problems?

I have the same problem for the past 3 days. I absolutely need my email! Who can help me? I didn't dare answer all the questions on the form because I'm afraid it might be a trick to get private information and get myself even more into trouble. Help me! PS: Plus, I'm terrible with computers :-(

I had the same issue after a virus attack and the use of several sources. The first time my information wasn't sufficient, but the second time, it worked. Don't hesitate to include as many details as possible, especially the latest addresses used. Since then, I've never had any problems. No issues with my professional account. You need to set a new code with lowercase, uppercase, and numbers. Good luck to everyone who is having problems.

Hello,
I finally managed to retrieve my inbox intact. You need to create a new address when Windows asks you, then they ask you to answer the question: your mother's birthplace, your husband's first name, or according to what you chose at the beginning, then they send you a new password to this new address.
A colleague helped me out.
