Wall antenna issue

Hello,
I just moved into a room located in the basement of a house. It turns out that the wall TV socket or the wall TV antenna is not working. I should mention that I have a TV with built-in digital terrestrial television, but when I make the connections, I am not receiving any signal and therefore I cannot find any channels. I am not very technically inclined, but I didn't have any issues in my previous rental because I think the house has a rooftop antenna (with branches).
Can you help me? The owner has been unresponsive for a week, so I apparently have to manage on my own.

Well, that's one good thing accomplished!
On your socket, you should also have two small screws that you need to loosen (not completely) to remove the wall socket support.
1- Strip the cable about 2 cm (up to the braid layer)
2- Unravel the braid (do not cut)
3- You should have another insulator, smaller, that protects the core (the main wire of the cable). About 1 cm from your first cut (outer sheath and braided folded back on itself) you cleanly cut this inner sheath (without cutting the rigid core wire)
4- Remove the collar of the wall socket support to pass the whole cable through, but do not tighten yet (the folded braid should be at the collar level).
5- Insert the core only into a very small hole (like the ones in connectors) and then tighten the screw (not like a brute though)
6- You should have the braid folded back on its sheath at collar level. If not, adjust it when tightening the core so that it is. Now you can tighten this braid on the collar (this is the ground).
7- Before reattaching everything to the wall, test the signal by connecting the antenna cable to your TV.
8- If OK, you can now reattach the wall socket support to the wall and tighten the two small screws (which will force the claws to spread in the box inside the wall). Again, not like a brute, but tight enough!
There you go! I hope you manage!

I am looking for a professional to repair televisions if we can no longer search for channels if the antenna is good.
