Hello, I am using Google Chrome and I currently have this problem:
I would like to download a software, but at the end of the download, this message appears:
Insufficient Permission.
Please note that I am an administrator, I have COMPLETE trust and I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for my download. (I say this because some people will tell me: it’s probably a virus [...] )
Anyway, what should I do?
I have already looked at some topics and they say to run the file as admin, but I am already an admin, and the file is not downloading, so it's not in my documents, so it's impossible to run it as admin.
Regards.

Hi,
I had the same problem.
I download my software/files to my E:\ drive.
I always had insufficient permissions.
So I changed the download location:
C:\Documents And Settings\( user ) \ My documents \ Downloads.
And it worked after that.
Steps to follow:
Wrench > Settings > under downloads choose where you want to download. :)
Bye

Aim for the moon; if you miss, you'll land among the stars.
No matter where I say, I get the same error...
What should I do?
Hello,
I have the same problem on Chrome (even 11 years later): "Download permission required." This is due to the activation of enhanced protection.
To disable it: Chrome settings / Privacy and security / Security and there you choose the browsing mode.
