Fan spinning continuously

Hello, I’ve noticed for a while that the fan on my MacBook Pro runs in a loop and, of course, it’s accompanied by overheating!

How can I fix this, because as a result the battery doesn’t last as long. Thanks

    The real problem is obviously overheating, the fan activation is only a consequence. If you look in Activity Monitor, can you identify the application or process that is causing your machine to heat up?

    Does the issue persist after a reboot? Do you notice the same thing when you run a test in a session with a new macOS user account created for the occasion or the "Guest" account, for example, to see if things behave differently in a "clean" context?

    If needed, consider specifying the exact model of the MacBook Pro and the version of macOS that is running on it.

          And what do you observe in Activity Monitor? Have you restarted your Mac (and even once in )? What does the test show in a session with a new user account?

          Hello,

          A fan running constantly and excessive heat can be caused by an overly demanding application or a cooling issue.

          You can try:

          • Check in Activity Monitor > CPU which application is consuming the most.
          • Close unnecessary applications and restart the Mac.
          • Clean the air vents and make sure they are not obstructed.
          • Check the battery status in System Settings > Battery.
          • Update macOS.

          If the problem persists, have the Mac checked. And if you are concerned about data loss, consider using a Mac data recovery software before any major intervention.
