New HD TV, mosaic issue

Hello,

Here is my problem, I purchased this little TV today:

http://www.darty.com/nav/achat/hifi_video/televiseurs-led/grand_ecran_led/thomson_39fu6663_led_3d.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_term=3597636

And I noticed while watching TF1 HD, M6 HD AND a Blu-ray movie that there were tiny mosaics appearing during certain sequences. So a few details:

- I also have HD consoles, and when I play fairly recent and demanding games (like Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Assassin's Creed Revelations, etc.), these mosaics never appear (so they don’t appear for the games ^^)

- As I mentioned, they appear SOMETIMES (like during the movie that lasted about 2 hours and 10 minutes, they appeared once every 5-10 minutes)

- They are not really bothersome since they usually appear on slight details (wrinkles in a dress, broad movements, etc...)

Knowing that I haven't changed any options (so basically it has remained in its factory configuration except for the channels since I did an automatic search to get them), where does the issue come from? Is it precisely an option to adjust?

Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 537.1

Hello
this is indeed a problem with the transmission of the HD TV signal. There's not much you can do on your end, other than checking the signal level received by the antenna (usually it's on the low limit, so see if it can be increased; I personally installed a more powerful antenna). HD transmitters broadcast at half the power compared to SD. TDF says it's normal, yet reality shows that there is indeed a weakness.
HD is managed at the transmitter level by a "private" company, towercast, and getting them to change things isn't easy; we all hope that the transmission processes, as well as the DVB-T standard itself, which is currently in version S2, continue to be refined (In Great Britain, the DVB-T2 standard is in place, but for France, we are hesitating because 95% of the TV set population is not compatible!)
A nice dilemma
