Hi there!
Before posting my message, I read the existing ones on this subject, but I must admit that I don't understand anything because I don't know anything about it!! I simply notice that for several weeks I haven’t been able to watch my TV because my Freebox keeps glitching completely and all the channels are unwatchable! I installed it at Christmas, it worked properly at first, and for some time now it has been unbearable and it's constant. The picture is either black or in "mosaic", and the sound is choppy or completely cut off... And, of course, it's impossible to reach the technical support at Free. Does anyone have any first tips, which might seem really silly, but since I don't know anything about it I probably haven’t thought of them! Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Plug the decoder into a "normal" socket, without a power strip or surge protector, and the problem will be solved!
If it still doesn't work: connect the Freebox to the TV box via an Ethernet socket.

Concerned also by the poor TV reception with the latest generation Freebox... I have only one thing to say: WHERE IS THE PROGRESS ????? We are inundated with new technologies etc... but we realize that the good old traditional antenna reception was still more reliable except for power outages... So the progress of technology makes me chuckle softly!
Hello,
If your installation is recent, you must have a Freebox V5 with another box, the Freebox HD for the TV?
The internet part is working well? Yes, probably since you're here.
I had the same problem, and I noticed that there were many people in the same situation. The conclusion regarding the origin for most of us is that the HD box (which contains a disk) overheats!!
It is poorly designed, not enough ventilation. If you place your hand under your box, it should be very hot.
Here are a few solutions before the ultimate fan support
- do not place it inside the TV cabinet
- put feet to lift the box by 5 cm (+)
- place it on its side (++)
- ...
- fun solution: USB fan
Best regards

You were indeed right, my box was burning hot, I unplugged it, let it cool down, and then elevated it, but nothing changed... However, I selected the low-bitrate channels, apparently more suitable, and my reception is better but it still stutters roughly every second... Any other suggestions?! Thanks in advance!!!
Hi
I don't know if the problem is still relevant, but according to Free customer service, you need to go to your Free account, select the option to adjust the ping, and once selected, choose the serenity mode. You need to wait 24 hours for it to activate
This improves TV reception by lowering your bandwidth (which actually has a minimal impact on the internet)
That's it, bye : )

Problem solved by plugging the 2 plugs into the same socket, then resetting by pressing the 2 green buttons for 10 seconds, then when they turn red, press the main plug for 3 seconds, it blinks, then 3 seconds on the TV plug (still connected to the Freebox TV box), both LEDs finally turn green, reconnect the TV box to the TV... and it works!!!
Thank you all... I finally have the TV back after trying everything... restarting the Freebox and player, swapping the plugs... This morning, I changed the channel and it worked!!!
I went back to this person and it's impossible to receive TV with the FreeBox ADSL; it says on the TV screen connected to the FreeBox decoder that there isn't enough bandwidth?
A triplay offer that is actually a biplay offer = (phone + internet). So it's a bit of willful theft when ordering this FreeBox in October 2010.
I still managed to receive about ten TNT channels with the rooftop antenna, TF1 - 2 - 4 - 5 - 6, etc... except for FR3??? I don't understand??? No FR3??? Strange???.
If someone knew why, I would appreciate the tip (how to receive FR3)??? Yet I did a full rotation with the antenna (360 degrees).

Frozen image and interrupted sound: I moved my box that was near a speaker (magnetic field) and no more problems!
Thank you "The Doctor" (not bad that one!!!)
Okay, it's done, I hope it's actually the right solution because this situation is getting on my nerves a bit!

you need to know for free to work optimally
at least 6 megas are required
otherwise you'll have to reduce the quality
your username and password
you should have received them by mail
otherwise the username = phone number
if you forgot your password
click on forgot password, it will be sent to your email

I meant switch to SD and not HD
for the bandwidth to have more (well limited)
well you need to avoid having other PCs connected at the same time
so it's sure on weekends
if the whole family is watching TV and browsing on PCs
you’ll consume more bandwidth
do a speed test here
for a more reliable result
turn off the TV box
stop other PCs if there are any
on the one you’re testing
close all other applications
and start the test
let me know your download result

I don't know much about it either, but when I got all this up and running, I thought to myself, wow, it's getting hot, what a waste of energy you might say!!
I've had that kind of bug too; it also happened with CanalSat.

I have the Free Revolution since December; I waited 11 months for it while I was a customer (Thanks Mister Free). With TNT, I had no problem until then. I subscribed to Canal Sat to follow the Moto Grand Prix, and I started having reception issues.
The problem actually came from, even though I didn't have a power strip, a tangle of cables. It's very sensitive; you really need to isolate the power supply of the Free box. Now it's all good; I tried downloading with 3 computers, watching TV, and using the phone at the same time = Perfect.

For the past 2 weeks, I've tried everything: unplugging, turning back on, unplugging, resetting, moving, unplugging and.....
I read this forum and plugged the FreeTv decoder into a separate wall outlet, instead of a power strip with the rest of the equipment....
MIRACLE! CARAMBBBA!!!! It works!
With Free, I didn't understand everything, but now, I get "how it works"!
Thanks @+! yes.
