Reduce the size of my screen!

Hello, I have a 17" WXGA Acer laptop, everything was fine until the day my screen image stretched! To make it simple:

before: internet pages didn’t take up the whole screen (space on the right and left), everything was a normal size. It was perfect!

today: the pages, the programs I open are stretched, the worst is with images that are completely squashed.

I’ve tried everything: control panel, tools, options, resolution, ... nothing works

Just go to Control Panel / Appearance and Personalization / Adjust screen resolution, then you just need to move the slider to the desired size.

Or press both keys at the same time, Ctrl and -), and move the slider and the problem is solved.

it's okay, I found it (you have to read the manual! ! !! ! :-) )   display properties / settings / change the resolution  (click "apply" to see the result before confirming)

I had the same issue; I right-clicked on the desktop, went to the NVIDIA Control Panel, and then I changed the resolution. It really works well now!!!

So ... To change the screen size (to make the size adjust to the background image): Control Panel/Appearance and Personalization/Change desktop background (then choose your image, at the bottom left it says position of the image click, and set to adjust and you're good to go ;) =) Your image that was too large for your background is now adjusted TO THE RIGHT SIZE ;) I hope this works for you (it did for me) Lilicia
