Hello,
I have a problem with my computer, a small Packard Bell Dot laptop running Windows XP.
I accidentally held down the SHIFT key, which apparently activated sticky keys, and my computer completely crashed at that moment, so I had to force it to shut down. The problem is that I can’t reactivate my keyboard since then.
I know I'm not the only one this has happened to; I searched online and tried all the suggested fixes, but nothing works. For example, some say you need to uncheck the box in Accessibility in the Control Panel, but when I tried to do that, everything was already unchecked. I tried checking and then unchecking it again, but it was useless. I tried holding down the SHIFT key (5 seconds according to some), but that doesn't change anything. Troubleshooting or Accessibility Assistant finds nothing (as usual, in fact).
I'm forced to plug in a USB mouse and use the on-screen keyboard, which is really inconvenient, especially since it’s the computer I use at work (well, for my internship). I'm really stuck here...
If anyone has a solution to propose, I would be eternally grateful!
