Certaines touches de mon clavier ne fonctionnent plus

Bonjour,

depuis plusieurs jours désormais, certaines touches de mon clavier ne fonctionnent plus, c'est pourquoi je viens solliciter votre aide tant elles commencent à me manquer. Ces touchent sont : le 5, le 6, la parenthèse fermée, et pour finir les touches f2 et f9. Jusqu'à présent je n'ai pas remarqué d'autres touches défaillantes, mais j'aimerais tout de même les réparer au plus vite ! Je tiens à préciser que je dispose d'un ordinateur portable HP Pavillon g7
avec un clavier déja intégré donc, et que cela ne peut pas venir d'un quelconque liquide renversé sur le clavier étant donné que les touches défaillantes sont très espacées ... Répondez moi au plus vite !

Good evening,
  • 1) Press Windows+R, then 
    devmgmt.msc
    and hit enter
  • 2) Look for the keyboard device and click on the arrow to the left to expand the tree.
  • 3) Right-click on the keyboard and choose "uninstall"
  • 4) Close the windows and restart your computer.
  • 5) If the problem is not resolved upon restart, we can suspect:
    • a BIOS issue: check with the exact model of your computer on the HP support site if a BIOS update has been specifically posted for this problem.
    • a BIOS chip issue: here, you would need to consult an electronics technician, but only replacing the chip will confirm if it is the cause
    • a straightforward issue of a faulty keyboard: if under warranty: return this computer to the seller for keyboard replacement. Otherwise, have the keyboard replaced by a competent person in the field.

Hello,
I've been having an issue with the keyboard on my Asus laptop for a day now. Some keys like P, O, or L are not responding anymore. I'm currently using the touch keyboard on the computer... I also want to point out that the I key now has the same function as the right-click. I've gone through many topics addressing similar issues on the site without finding a solution.
Moreover, I want to emphasize that my laptop is almost new (less than six months old), and it has never been dropped or had any other accidents (water, coffee, etc...). I've also run a full Defender scan and no viruses were detected...
Please help me!

Hello,

I have the same problem as well. My keyboard was working perfectly fine and 1 hour later, several keys stopped working, such as P, shift, the delete key, ctrl, all the top keys (number and special character keys). I'm using the on-screen keyboard in the meantime while trying to find a solution, but it's complicated.
No particular incident occurred. I have a 14' Sony Vaio notebook with Windows 8, which I bought just 2 years ago. I've been browsing the forums looking for solutions... my battery is built-in like on Macs, so I can't proceed with the solution provided by Pipo.

If you have any solutions to suggest, I thank you!
