How to unlock Philips TV? Solved

Question

Hello, after several searches on the internet I still can’t find a solution to my problem!!

I have a problem with my Philips television... which is locked in "digital TV" mode and I can’t unlock it or even access the menu, only the volume buttons work.
The model of my flat screen television is Philips model 42PFP5532 / 12

If anyone has any idea to suggest, it would be welcome thank you :)

1-Is your remote control a Philips remote or a universal remote?

2-If it is a Philips remote, when did it stop working correctly?

3-Are the batteries in the remote new?

Hello Antoine,

Yes, my remote control is an original Philips, it still works since I can turn the TV off or raise and lower the volume, or when I press the TV menu a small cross appears in the top left corner of the screen ... and the batteries are indeed new.

Hello,

To assist you, I recommend first carrying out the following tests:

1-Unplug your TV and plug it back in after 15 minutes

2-Press the "Menu" button on the side of the TV for 15 to 20 seconds (the TV menu will appear on the screen)

3-Select "first installation" and proceed with the factory reset.

I have the same problem with the same model and the Philips service had me go through the process, and since they are so ..... they replied, you just have to go see an authorized Philips repairman. WELL DONE PHILIPS, figure it out yourself!!!
