I had exactly the same problem recently, I had to contact customer service who sent me a new one! But the issue is, two months later, which is today, the same problem is happening again! I'm starting to think that this iPod is a total rip-off! And be careful with your warranty! It's only valid for a short time and they can, if the warranty expires, charge you for the repair at the cost of the iPod!!! So, make sure to use the extended warranty! That's what I'm going to do, because I'm really afraid this button problem will happen again a second time, or even a third time!!!
