Photo book: which site to choose?

Thank you for your advice... In the future, I will test out those you recommended, as unfortunately I had to choose some random software since I hadn't received a response yet... I picked the one that was linked to the nearest photo shop to my place... And I didn't really have a choice but to modify what I originally wanted because it didn't offer 40 pages, but only 26 or 50... So I took 50 pages, in A4 format, for 41.90 euros.

And when it arrived, there was a fingerprint stain that won't come off on the cover, the corners of the cover were already a bit damaged, two pages were messed up (with black spots), and then there was a glued binding that likely won't last very long...

On the other hand, the image quality is rather good, it could be better but it's still fine... The photos don't show fingerprints even though they are glossy... Thanks to the paper, I imagine...

Anyway, I'm disappointed with the book, I'm going to show it to my friend to see if it still works for her, and if not, I'll return it (if it's still possible). I think I ended up with a bad batch because I know someone who made their books with that software and they never had any issues... But I will prefer the ones you recommended in the future.

It is possible to create a high-end leather-bound photo book for less than €40.

Also avoid Photoservice, which has just let all its customers down by changing software at the last minute and choosing an incompatible software. Given the work it takes to do this, they are really audacious.
So flee Photoservice.

we just received our album from Photoservice.com.
a big scam:
- The cover is a plastic-coated cardboard folder with horrible photo quality
- in the album, all the photos are dark. no relation to the originals which are of good quality
- they put the unused pages at the end of the book...
- all this for 80 euros of "prestige" quality

moral of the story, I will have to redo my album on another site: THANK YOU PHOTOSERVICE.com

We are really sorry for not being able to transfer your old projects to the new software. We couldn't do it for technical reasons; if we could have, believe us, we would have!

We also notified our clients about the discontinuation of the old software at least 2 months before its final shutdown:

- By communicating through our newsletter
- By sending postal letters to our regular software user clients
- By indicating it during the update of the old software

But whether it's the old or the new software, the quality of the photo books remains the same. Finally, the online editor hasn't changed and allows you to find all your projects on your photoservice.com account.

Check out www.albumblog.com in addition to what you wanted, there's the ability to share folders with friends... as well as the retrieval of friends' photos, which will go directly into a neatly organized folder... and the best part is you can organize all your photos by folder, all backed up online and for free... and no software needed, it's online so you just have to sign up... the site is great, I use it for all my clients a bit professionally. One folder = one client or theme, so I no longer have photos on my computer!

For photo books, I recommend Photobox. Easy to use, promotions every week, and efficient phone support.

I am also an amateur photographer and I usually develop my photos and make books. For that, I juggle between two services that suit me well (both in terms of software, pricing, and output):

Both work with Cewe, which I find is a good provider. I have tried other providers, especially in supermarkets, but I didn't like the results. After that, I suppose it also depends on personal taste...
