Hi everyone
I have a photo that is 2 MB and I would like to reduce it to 80 KB.
Is it possible, and if so, how?
I admit it's huge; should I reduce its size? It is also of good quality.
What software should I use and how?
Thank you in advance

Here's something that worked well for me:
- download The Gimp
- open the photo in Gimp and go to Image then Scale Image
- reduce the resolution to 72 dpi (generally sufficient for the web)
- reduce the dimensions of the photo (for a rectangular photo, 700 pixels wide may be enough)
- choose save as and indicate a new name for the file
- save in JPEG format and choose a quality of 85% (or 100% or less but maximum quality is recommended)
In my case, a 13 MB photo (at 300 dpi resolution; original size 4797 x 3105) was reduced to 64 KB.
If necessary, make different attempts depending on the size and quality you want to achieve.
Good luck.
