Convert a photo.dat to jpg format

just change the image extension to .bmp (instead of .dat).

I have the same problem, but when I convert the .dat files to .jpg, I can’t read them. However, when I convert them to .mpg, it works, but I don’t want to have to view the photos with Windows Media Player.

Is there another solution?

I don't know if it will work, but there is software specialized in copying VCD video files (so .dat) to MPEG videos, it simply removes the VCD protection code contained in each file and outputs an unprotected .mpg file.

The only problem is that I have never tried it on photos, so I can't guarantee that it works.

The software is called WebFlix Pro, and I can say that when I was looking for a software like it, I spent hours before I found it.

A solution is to take a screenshot while playing your VCD and then convert it to jpeg afterwards. The quality will be lower, but it's the only solution I know of to date.

I have a problem. An American friend took some photos and sent them to me. In the email, they are in HTTP: HTML format.
