Here is what you have to do: You will launch the software called (Motorola Mobile Phone Tools) and create a new profile named Motorola Razr V3. Then you connect the cable to your phone; the software will ask if you want a connection via cable, Bluetooth, or infrared. You choose cable, then unplug and plug your phone back in so the software detects it and installs its drivers. After installing the driver, you need to install the modem (because there is an integrated modem in the Motorola Razr). I went to the Motorola website and downloaded the software. The software erased all my photos and did who knows what to my phone: I can no longer take photos or access "my documents," and the phone turns on and off for no reason. Yet, I restarted the installation three times, and there are people less tech-savvy than me. So on Monday, I will have to go to SFR, hoping that it will be covered by my warranty, and I will find myself without a phone for ages. Moreover, it still doesn't work. If that doesn't work, it means your computer (the software it has, antivirus, internet connection or whatever else) is misconfigured or unsuitable. It works with Windows XP, for sure - without Norton and without any "imported" firewall (like Zone Alarm).  It seems that Windows Vista causes problems   So tweak the antivirus, the firewall, etc., to let more things through. Norton Antivirus: doesn't let much through and is not very useful compared to other free ones. Way too heavy and becomes useless if the subscription is not paid. The Windows XP firewall is sufficient, no need to install another one   Last resort: YOUSENDIT! for sending large files   Jonas JoB   PS: If nothing really works: I'm SELLING it (Mobile PhoneTools v4.3.6c), burned on CD, for 10 euros because I'm starting to spend time on this.
