Hello hatta.
"but it didn't work".
So let's start again together:
1) Select the range of cells concerned.
2) Cell format/Number/Currency/
- confirm.
3) Cell format/Number/Custom/
- in the "Type" window, # ##0.00 € is displayed
- replace € with "FCFA";
- the display should therefore become # ##0,00 "FCFA"
- confirm.
* Do NOT do anything more or less than these instructions!

I tried
cell format/number/custom and replace every time "euro" with "fcfa"
but it didn't work, this text is displayed "Excel cannot use the format you typed. Try using a predefined number format"

Hello,
I just found a solution on another site:
http://forum.telecharger.01net.com/forum/high-tech/LOGICIELS/Bureautique/ajouter-monnaie-excel-sujet_193973_1.htm
Tested and it works.
Best regards.
