Hello,

I have a phone list with about 500 abbreviated numbers (so 500 lines) and I need to insert a "3" in front of each number.

Not really good at this and not keen on adding that famous "3" in each cell, can you help me???

Thanks in advanceConfiguration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

    Hello
insert an empty column (example B)
if your first number is in A2
put the formula in B2 ="3"&A2 or =CONCATENATE("3";B2)
    and copy down

After that, you select all the boxes with your numbers with the 3 in front, you copy them, go to another cell, and do a special paste: values.

You can then delete the unnecessary cells.
